Powers:
The Fighting Yank's powers derive from his mystical cloak and tricorner hat. While wearing these objects, the Fighting Yank has the following abilities:

  • Superhuman attributes: The Fighting Yank's attributes are increased as stated above. NOTE: The increase also affects Health score.
  • Invulnerability: While wearing the cloak, the Yank possesses Rm (30) True Invulnerability. As seen both in flashbacks of Project: SuperPowers and in the original comics, bombs bursting against him had little effect, bullets didn't phase him, and even super weapons had issues.

Astral Perception: The Fighting Yank was granted a pair of goggles which allowed him astral perception of Gd (10) at the end of the war. While actively wearing them, astral creatures somehow can affect the Yank physically.

Ghostly Advisor: The Fighting Yank is advised by the ghost of his ancestor, who is bound to Bruce and assists him with missions by providing advice and occasionally helping him other ways. The Fighting Yank's ancestor can only usually be seen by the Yank, although other mystics have seen him as well.

Contacts:
The OSS
Various other heroes, including the Black Terror, the Death Defying 'Devil, and others.

Limitations:
Secret ID: The world at large is unaware of the Yank's true identity.
Patriot: The Yank is very patriotic, which could be used to manipulate him.

Mini-Origin:
When confronted by spies bent on murdering him, Bruce Carter the Third was contacted by an ancestor from Revolutionary America. Unable to rest due to his own actions, the ancestor sought to redeem himself and presented Bruce with a mystical cloak and tricorner hat, which gave him superhuman strength and invulnerability. Calling himself 'The Fighting Yank', Bruce became a symbol to a country during World War II, and also an unwitting pawn of the forces of evil.....
